In this project, we updated anhistoric German Tudor living room, to regain some of its originalcharacter. During our initialconsultation, the homeowner expressed an interest in an update, but wasn’t sure of his options. We made suggestions, drew sketches, and shared our photo gallery with him. He selected a coffered ceiling.
Bret’s Carpentry regularly works withother tradespeople and general contractors to complete jobs. In this case, we hired Jeff Dunn (Get ThingsDunn) to demo the existing ceiling and to install can lights and newdrywall. We scheduled the project,mapped out the lights and blocked the area for the ceiling beams.
The beam materials wereprefabricated and finished in our Springdale shop. This allowed us to install the completed product,alleviating the need for painters to work behind us. The installation of this six-boxpattern coffered ceiling was completed in two days, from start to finish.
